Jeff Emig brings over 12 years of experience both operating and investing in high growth companies to his role as COO of RobbinsKersten Direct. Previously, he was a Principal at Brook Venture Partners where he was responsible for all aspects of the private equity investment process including deal sourcing, due diligence, structuring, and syndicating. Jeff was then active in post-investment oversight as a Director or Board Observer at 13 portfolio companies. He has led several mergers and acquisitions at the portfolio company level and has also served as interim CFO for several portfolio companies.

Prior to graduate school, Jeff was a founding team member at Tenor Networks, Inc. a designer and manufacturer of high end optical networking equipment. During his 4.5 years at Tenor, Jeff assisted in raising $120M in Venture Capital and Private Equity, along with $2M of non-dilutive debt financing. Jeff also built and scaled the finance and operations of the company (ultimately hiring his own supervisor), as Tenor grew from 15 to 170 employees in under 2 years. Prior to that, he was an Operations Analyst at 3Com Corp., where he focused on resource planning and analysis for next generation switching products.

Jeff received his MBA with Distinction from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College and his BBA from the University of Massachusetts where he graduated first in the School of Finance and Operations Management. He has served for 6 years as a guest lectur

Max Bunch, a 30-year advertising veteran with 25 years of nonprofit fundraising expertise, provides RobbinsKersten Direct with invaluable insights from a varied background. Building on his Masters of Business Administration from the University of Texas, Max has served a number of leading nonprofit organizations including the American Bible Society, Feed the Children, Brigham & Women’s Hospital, The Braille Institute, and many others.

From 1990 to 1997, Max served as president of his own agency, launching highly rated religious radio and television ministries to critical acclaim. His client, Dawson McAllister Live, became National Religious Broadcasting’s “Talk Show of the Year.”

As Executive Vice President of consulting and client services at RobbinsKersten Direct, Max participates in leading key clients, managing client services and participating in new business development.

Mike Monk is Co-President of RKD Alpha Dog, a division of RobbinsKersten Direct.

Mike Monk started Alpha Dog Marketing in June 2005. As CEO, Mike played a key role in its success since the very beginning.

Alpha Dog Marketing merged with RobbinsKersten Direct in October 2015. Today, RKD Alpha Dog has more than 40 employees located across the country. RKD Alpha Dog continues to provide unparalleled direct marketing strategies, solutions and marketing services to its partners in the nonprofit industry.

Mike has been involved in direct marketing for over 37 years and has worked with some of the largest nonprofit organizations in the U.S. During his 20 years at Metromail/Experian, Mike handled the accounts for Father Flanagan’s Boys’ Home, Easter Seals, American Heart Association, Make-A-Wish Foundation, American Lung Association and Salvation Army, providing list and marketing strategies for mailing existing donors as well as developing new donors. Mike has been involved with the animal services market since 1999 and has managed integrated marketing programs to over 200 humane societies.

Mike has a BS in Marketing/Business from the University of Nebraska and is active with the Direct Marketing Association (DMA) as well as Society of Animal Welfare Administrators (SAWA) and the AFP. Mike is married to Connie and has two fabulous children in Adam and Amanda. In his spare time, Mike enjoys the game of golf, reading and traveling.

Connie Monk is Co-President of RKD Alpha Dog, a division of RobbinsKersten Direct.

Connie Monk joined Alpha Dog Marketing in 2006 as President. For the last ten years she and her teams have supported local food bank organizations across the country by providing highly successful integrated marketing and direct response services and solutions.

Prior to Alpha Dog Marketing, which merged with RobbinsKersten Direct in October 2015, Connie was vice president at Grizzard. During her eight year tenure there, she provided strategy and services to local food banks, Salvation Army Corps, Habitat for Humanity affiliates, and National Kidney Foundation local offices.

Connie began her love for nonprofit organizations when her career took her to Metromail/Experian. She led a corporate team that developed a donor database management system to support national nonprofit organizations including Easter Seals, Make-A-Wish Foundation, The Salvation Army, Muscular Dystrophy Association, and the American Heart Association. During her 12 year tenure at Metromail/Experian she also had the privilege of leading the Fund Raising Services and Behavior Bank teams.

Connie is married to Mike, and mother to Korey and grandma Connie to Kaden and Kingsley. Travel, golf, genealogy, architecture, and reading are all passions for Connie. She loves having the opportunity to partner with food banks and support the mission of eliminating hunger in America.

Robin Riggs, an award-winning creative director and copywriter, serves as Chief Creative Officer of RobbinsKersten Direct. She believes the best fundraising creative comes from the heart and the mind. Robin has the unique ability to be data-driven while developing innovative, multi-channel creative strategies for agency clients.

In addition to leading the creative team, Robin also serves as senior copywriter on several client programs. Her diverse brand and direct marketing expertise cover the gamut of print and digital media for commercial and nonprofit organizations.

Her prior work experience includes being President of Arnold Direct, the direct marketing division for Arnold Advertising, head of Cabot Direct within Cabot Advertising, and Executive Creator Director at Epsilon, a leading marketing solutions provider. Robin speaks regularly at national and regional industry conferences.

Every year, she and her teams win record numbers of awards at the New England Direct Marketing Association (NEDMA) awards for creative excellence. In the last three years, she has won the top NEDMA awards for direct marketing and digital copy.

Robin currently serves on the Board of Overseers of the Handel and Haydn Society in Boston and served for many years as a Trustee of Thompson Island Outward Bound.

Andrew has over 25 years of fundraising experience working for both agencies and nonprofit organizations. As a Senior Strategist, he manages integrated, multi-channel direct response fundraising programs for large, national organizations and regional nonprofits.

Andrew’s notable client experience includes BrightFocus Foundation, Special Olympics, Lighthouse International, Coast Guard Foundation, Sierra Club, Smithsonian Institution, Covenant House, International Rescue Committee, Oxfam America, and several healthcare institutions. In addition Andrew spent over 2 years as the Director of Annual Giving at Newton-Wellesley Hospital outside of Boston, as well as 12 years working for a tele-fundraising company.

Andrew is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP). He speaks frequently at DMA Nonprofit Federation and AFP Conferences, and FundRaising Success webinars, and has served on the education committees of the Bridge Conference and the DMA Nonprofit Conference.

Andrew is a graduate of Tufts University.

Eddy comes to RobbinsKersten Direct with a decade of experience providing strategic fundraising counsel to the Food Bank community, and more than 14 years serving nonprofit organizations nationwide.

In addition to his Food Bank fundraising experience, he has served The Salvation Army, Habitat for Humanity, Goodwill Industries International, Catholic Charities USA, Lutheran Social Services and regional Rescue Missions.

Eddy is a Certified Fund Raising Executive, and is a graduate of Pacific Union College with a BA in Communications.

Starting as an account coordinator, Kristen has grown exponentially and now serves as the Vice President, Client Services and directs strategy for mail, online, phone, research, major gifts and planned giving. Her donor-centric approach to multichannel fundraising typically exceeds fundraising goals for clients.

Because of his passion for helping animals and helping people who help animals, David joined the RKD Alpha Dog team in 2011. David spent 14 years in leadership roles in the animal welfare field and was most recently Executive Director of The Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League in West Palm Beach, Florida. He is a member of the American Humane Association, Humane Society of the United States, Society of Animal Welfare Administrators and Association of Fundraising Professionals. David’s experience in animal welfare management is extremely valuable to our nonprofit partners.

After eight years of leadership in nonprofits, Alex Edwards joined the RKD Alpha Dog team in March 2012. Alex most recently served in a capacity development role for the Feeding America network of food banks, getting tremendous exposure to food banks all over the country. He will use his extensive knowledge of the food banking industry and his understanding of the challenges that they face connecting our partners to the solutions we offer for helping them to fulfill their missions. Before working for Feeding America, he served as the COO and Interim CEO of Care and Share Food Bank for Southern Colorado for nearly four years. Alex brings considerable experience in the areas of fund development, executive coaching, leadership and board development and organizational capacity assessment and development.

Alex received his Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain and Logistics Management from Colorado Technical University in Colorado Springs, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. Alex is a member of BoardSource and WERC (Warehousing Education and Research Council).

With over 28 years of experience in nonprofit development and marketing, Lisa joined the RKD Alpha Dog Animal Welfare Team in June 2013. Lisa was most recently at the American Red Cross and before that, spent seven years with Girls Inc. of Metropolitan Dallas. Her former role of 10 years was with the SPCA of Texas as Sr. VP of Marketing and Development where she was instrumental in diversifying the funding stream and integrating the marketing and development efforts. Lisa oversaw membership, sponsor programs, planned giving, grants, major donor relations, events and capital needs for the SPCA of Texas and managed media relations, education/social services, and creative services. She is skilled in developing creative marketing and philanthropic strategies for corporations as well as building relationships with major donors, foundations and federations. A graduate of Oklahoma State University, Lisa was one of the original organizers of the Metroplex Animal Coalition in Dallas and will be instrumental in helping our partners increase their funding base and marry their development and communication plans.

Beth joined the RKD Alpha Dog Marketing team in January 2010 as a Senior account manager.  With over 20 years’ experience in the production of direct mail campaigns she was able to quickly transition over as Production Manager, ultimately being promoted to Vice President of Production Services.

During her 6 years with the company she has built and led a team of production professionals to successfully execute the print and mail production of a program that has grown to over 50 million pieces of mail annually.

She specializes in developing and implementing innovative systems and processes to leverage industry technology to meet the needs of a diverse clientele.

She serves on the Industry Board and Education Committee of her local Postal Customer Council.

Tim Kersten knows the power of a good story to move hearts and minds to support great causes. He’s told thousands of stories in his 38-year career as a fundraiser. He started as a direct mail copywriter, then rose to become an international-award winning creative consultant, strategist, chief creative officer and, now, CEO of RobbinsKersten Direct. Tim casts the creative vision for all of RKD that drives record-breaking results for more than 250 clients.
